Virtualization (Middleware)

Conducted by

Thomas Herault, Thomas Largillier, Sylvain Peyronnet, Benjamin Quetier

Description

Together with Thomas Herault, Benjamin Quetier, Thomas Largillier and myself we are designing full virtual cluster in order to provide a complete and stable framework for the analysis of fault tolerance in large scale systems. The first experiment will be to deploy Xen virtual machines (XVM) linked together through BSD featuring Dummynet. Failure injection will be introduced by an ad hoc mechanism that will destroy virtual machines, thus emulating physical crashes of computers.
