Modelization for the Deployment of a Hierarchical Middleware on Heterogeneous Platforms (Middleware)

Similarly to the experiment entitled "Modelization for the Deployment of a Hierarchical Middleware on a Homogeneous Platform", we developed a model for hierarchical middleware performance, and validated it against real experiments. We designed two heuristics for automatically generating the shape of the hierarchy depending on the parameters of the platform, and the users' requirements. We use an approach based on linear programming for computation heterogeneous/communication homogeneous platforms, and an approach based on a genetic algorithm for fully heterogeneous platforms.
