Validating scheduling algorithms for the HLW application (Application)

HLW (High-Level Waste) is HPC application written using the Salomé platform. HLW is composed of ~15000 individual moldable tasks. I have proposed several algorithms to cleverly schedule these tasks so as to minimize completion time for the whole application. This experiment consists in runnning those schedulers on a simulation of the HLW application so as to estimate their performance.

Tools used



Simulations on Grid5000 showed that our fair-share-based algorithms perform better than HLW's default scheduler.
