Energy monitoring
Using PDU
- Reims (and in near future, Nancy) are equipped with PDUs that monitor the consumption by outlet.
- Rennes is equipped with PDUs that monitor the consumption by a group of nodes. Instruction to use some of the hardware for Rennes is available from a dedicated page. If you wish to access this hardware, please contact support-staff.
Using Wattmetre
Lyon, Toulouse, and Grenoble have dedicated hardware ("wattmetre"), much more precise than monitored pdus. Only Lyon is currently known to work reliably. For detail on hardware used, please contact Laurent Lefevre for Lyon, Olivier Richard for Grenoble and George Da Costa for Toulouse.
Using IPMI
Newer hardware allows to monitor energy directly on the node, using IPMI. This is the case for edel cluster in Grenoble.
Reconfigurable routers
The site in Toulouse has routers that can be reconfigured by the users. Contact point is Jean-Marc Pierson
Network probes
High performance networks probes where explored on a few sites. A machine receives a mirror of the outgoing 10G link in Rennes and Lille, and Lyon has dedicated hardware. Rennes and Lyon also have a machine with 2 10G network cards for traffic shaping. Best contact for this is Matthieu Imbert for Lyon, and Pascal Morillon for Rennes.
The routers in Lille used to export netFlow information a described in Metroflux_Usage.
Storage
Irods is deployed in Grenoble, and you can request access to it to Bruno Bzeznik or look at the documentation available on the dedicated page
